A dental administrator is a member of a dental team that is responsible for all administration duties in a dental practice. These administration duties include such tasks as scheduling patients, a variety of different phone conversations, financial interactions with patients and dental benefit companies, and engaging in patient interaction. This role requires strong people and communication skills, high enthusiasm, strong organizational skills, and strong dental knowledge. Oral Health Academy’s dental administrative program will teach you all the skills required to have a successful career as a member of any dental team.
Yes, you will receive a certificate of completion for the module completed. To receive a full Certification in Dental Administration you will need to complete all 5 learning modules.

YES! The modules are designed to build upon each other and they will prepare you for the future information to come in the later modules. If you have no dental background, it will prevent confusion when understanding the information in the later modules. Oral Health Academy strongly recommends that you take the modules in order.
Each module is designed to be completed in 2-4 weeks but is dependent on the amount of study time you put into your courses. All our modules are "self paced" which means you dictate your study schedule. You will have access to your modules for a year from the date of purchase.

Ginamae Gabriel- RDA/Instructor
Ginamae has worked as a registered dental assistant for 20 years. Her vision has always been to work within Indigenous communities to expand their access to education. Ginamae originates from the Syilx territory, also known as the Okanagan. She identified a need for educated dental administrators during her work in the dental field and created Oral Health Academy to support and strengthen this role. When Gina is not working, she spends time with her family. She enjoys living healthy and is an avid animal lover.
Lindsay Kirkbright - B.Ed/Instructor
Lindsay has worked as a dental administrator for 15 years and previously worked as a teacher. Lindsay has her secondary education degree in math and science. When searching for continuing education for her role as a dental administrator, Lindsay realized there was lack of options to pursue studies in this field. She created Oral Health Academy to provide in depth knowledge, skills and attitudes for a gratifying career in dental administration. When not working, Lindsay is spending time with her family and two adorable cats or on the soccer field.
